The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes appointing a suitable number of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.
Overview
During this 1-day course, learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with emergency first aid situations, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.
Assessment Methods
- 4 x Practical assessments
- 1 x Theory assessment (Multiple Choice Question Paper).
Certification
Successful learners will receive a personalised Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) e-Certificate immediately after their results have been submitted.

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)

Level 3 Combined Emergency First Aid at Work and Emergency Paediatric First Aid
Combining the Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) and the Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid into one extended day of classroom learning, this specially designed course provides the skills and knowledge needed to provide emergency adult and paediatric first aid. This minimises the number of training days required to achieve both qualifications.
Overview
Over 1 extended day, learners will develop the knowledge and practical competencies needed to provide effective first aid for adults, children and infants. Topics include: CPR and AED use, choking, wounds and bleeding, unconscious casualty and more.

- 1 x Multiple Choice Question Papers
- 6 x Practical Assessments.

Successful learners will receive two personalised e-Certificates immediately after their results have been submitted,

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Annual Refresher) (RQF)
HSE guidelines state that employers should ensure their first aiders remain competent to perform their role. As such, it is strongly recommended that first aiders undertake annual refresher training to practise their skills and update their knowledge on the latest first aid procedures.
Overview
Over a half day period, learners will leave with a renewed confidence having had the opportunity to practise essential first aid procedures, including: managing an unresponsive casualty, recovery position, CPR, choking and more.
